📷 Baby Monitor overview
Monitor is a private baby cam. A little starts their camera on a phone, tablet or computer, and their caregiver watches the live picture from anywhere. The caregiver can also hear the room, talk back, play a soothing sound, and plan bedtimes together.

Monitor is for consensual care between adults aged 18 and older.
Tap 📷 Start Monitor and your caregiver can peek in on you. You can always see who is watching. Tap ⏹ Stop Monitor whenever you want the camera off.
Same account
Sign in with your usual CaregiverBabyHub email and password. There is no separate sign-up.
Who sees what
Monitor shows a different home screen depending on your role:
- Littles land on Your Monitor, where they start the camera and choose who can watch.
- Caregivers see You're a Caregiver with a 📺 Watch Monitor button that opens the watch page at
/watch.
How it works
- The little opens Monitor and taps 📷 Start Monitor.
- The caregiver opens Watch Monitor. Linked caregivers see the camera automatically. Anyone else needs an invite link or code from the little.
- Video and sound are encrypted in transit to our video server, not end-to-end encrypted. The server passes them only to people allowed to watch. Viewers also need the little's pairing key, which rides inside invite links and the direct access link.

Free and paid
Everything on the live monitor is free: watching, listening, talking back, soothing sounds, lullabies, Night Nanny, Tuck-Ins and invite codes.
Paid tiers add a few extras for the caregiver:

Privacy
- The stream is encrypted in transit to our video server, not end-to-end encrypted. Nothing is recorded unless a paying caregiver taps ⏺ Record clip, and saved clips aren't end-to-end encrypted either.
- The little sees who is watching right now.
- The little can revoke any invite code at any time, and codes can expire on their own.
What's new in the Re-Imagined era
- A stream that stays connected. The watch page no longer drops its own connection.
- See who is watching. A little sees who is watching right now, and a linked caregiver gets a bell when the camera comes on.
- The monitor on the Dock. The same stream can show on the wall, with a red indicator that can never be hidden. See The Dock.
- Repairs. Caregivers now land on the watch page, paying members see Cloud Recordings, invite codes validate, and check-in streaks and reminders run on your own day.
