🩺 Health & growth

Health & growth is a log of your real measurements: weight, height, temperature and more. It draws them on a growth chart, so you can see how things change over time. It lives at the bottom of Grown-Up Help, at caregiverbabyhub.com/grown-up.

For littles

Step on the scale, measure how tall you are, or take your temperature, then write the number here. Your chart grows a little line, and you can watch it over time. Every number is just a number!

Just a log, never a diagnosis

Health & growth keeps the numbers you type. It never says what a number means for you, never diagnoses, and never suggests medicine. If something feels wrong, talk to a real doctor. If you ever feel really unwell, call 911 or your local emergency number right away.

What you can log

MeasurementUnits
βš–οΈ Weightlb + oz, or kg
πŸ“ Height / lengthinches or cm
πŸŽ€ Head circumferenceinches or cm
🌑️ Temperature°F or °C
πŸ’“ Heart ratebeats per minute
🌬️ Breathingbreaths per minute

Pick lb Β· in Β· Β°F or kg Β· cm Β· Β°C at the top of the section. Everything shows in those units, and your choice is remembered on that device. You can still type a single reading in the other unit.

Log a measurement

Under βž• Log a measurement:

  1. Tap what you measured.
  2. Type the number, and pick its unit. For lb + oz, there's a box for each.
  3. Check When. It starts at right now, and can't be in the future.
  4. Add Notes, if you like, such as "after breakfast."
  5. Tap Save.

If a number looks like a typo, like a temperature of 9.86 or a weight typed in the wrong unit, it isn't saved and you're asked to check it.

Gentle real-world notes

If a temperature, heart rate or breathing reading is outside the usual adult range, a gentle note appears right after you save it, and stays at the top of the section for three days. It says something plain and kind, like "Rest, sip water, and take it easy. Take it again in a little while, and check with a real doctor if it keeps up."

ReadingA note appears when it's
Temperature100.4 Β°F (38 Β°C) or more, with a stronger note at 103 Β°F (39.4 Β°C) or more. Also under 96 Β°F (35.6 Β°C), stronger under 95 Β°F (35 Β°C)
Resting heart rateOver 100, stronger over 120. Under 50, stronger under 40
BreathingOver 24 or under 10 breaths a minute

The stronger notes also include the emergency line. Readings that got a note carry a small 🐰 in the log. Weight, height and head size never get notes: numbers are just numbers.

Your chart and log

  • Latest readings: the newest number for each kind, with its date.
  • πŸ“ˆ Chart: tap a kind to see its line over time. The chart appears once there are two measurements of the same kind.
  • πŸ“‹ Every measurement: the newest first, 15 at a time, with Show all for the rest. Tap Edit to change a reading or its note, or βœ• to remove it.

For caregivers

A linked caregiver sees every measurement their little has logged. Co-caregivers are equal.

  • You can log a measurement for your little. Your little gets a bell: "Your caregiver logged a measurement."
  • You can edit any of their measurements.
  • You can remove only the ones you added.

Littles see "Your caregiver can see your measurements" under the log form.

On Insights

Insights has a 🩺 Health & growth card: your latest reading of each kind, how weight, height and head size changed compared with about a month earlier, how many readings you logged in the last 30 days, and how many got a gentle note. Tap Open β†’ to go to Grown-Up Help.
