πŸ‘₯ Groups

Groups are small, friendly spaces for members who share a region, an age range, a role or an interest. You can say hi, ask questions, share what you're up to, and plan online events together.

Groups live at the bottom of the πŸ—ΊοΈ Where You Are page. Open it from the menu under 🧸 My Corner β†’ πŸ—ΊοΈ Near Me (called Who's Nearby in baby mode). The page is caregiverbabyhub.com/where. Scroll past the map and your nearby settings to the πŸ‘₯ Groups card.

For littles

Groups are like little clubhouses! Find one for where you live, your favorite things, or littles just like you. Say hi, make friends, and use a pen name so you stay safe and cozy.

Finding a group

The tabs along the top sort the groups:

πŸ“ RegionsTwenty regions, such as US-Northeast, US-South, Canada-East, UK, Ireland, EU-Central, Australia, Latin America, Asia, Africa and Middle East
πŸŽ‚ AgesAges 18–24, 25–34, 35–44 and 45+

πŸ’¬ InterestsIncontinence support, Potty & untraining, Long-distance dynamics, Crafts & colouring, Gaming, and New here, plus any member-suggested groups that were approved

A few role groups worth knowing about:

  • 🩲 Adult wearers is for adults who wear, for any reason, without the babying. See Adult Wearer.
  • πŸŒ™ Solo littles is for littles without a caregiver right now, looking after themselves together.
  • 🩺 Incontinence support is practical and medical-friendly. No kink talk there.

Tap any group card to open it and read what it's for.

Member counts

Each card shows how many members a group has. When a group has fewer than five members, it says a few instead of the exact number. That way a small regional group can't be used to single anyone out.

Joining

  1. Open the group.
  2. Check the box: "I'm 18 or over, and I'll keep this group kind and safe: no addresses, no pressure, no pushing to meet."
  3. Tap Join.

You confirm this every time you join a group. Only members can read a group's posts, so you'll see the posts after you join.

To leave, open the group and tap Leave group at the bottom.

Pen names

In groups, other members only ever see your pen name. That's your display name, or your username if you haven't set one. Your real name, email and location are never shown.

Posting and replying

Once you've joined, type in the box ("Say hi, share something, ask a question…") and tap Post. Posts can be up to 1,000 characters.

  • Tap ↩ Reply under a post to answer it. Replies go one level deep: you reply to a post, not to a reply.
  • Tap Remove on your own post or reply to take it down.
  • If a post doesn't send, your draft stays in the box so nothing you typed is lost.

The newest posts show first.

Online events

To plan something together, pick a date and time in πŸ“… Online event? before you post. The post then shows πŸ“… Online event: with the time, in your own time zone.

Events in groups are for online plans only, like a video call, a game night or a coloring hangout. Never post addresses or where anyone lives. Meet-ups belong in private, after you've both said hello. The safety tips at the top of the Where You Are page apply here too.

Blocks

Your blocks work in groups too. If you've blocked someone, or they've blocked you, you won't see each other's posts.

If your blocks can't be checked for a moment, the posts are hidden until they can, rather than risking showing you someone you blocked. Try again soon.

Reporting a post

Tap Report on any post that isn't yours. You can add a short note about what's wrong, or leave it blank. Reports go to the admins, who can remove the post. You can only report the same post once.

Group hosts and moderators from the Helpers Guild can also remove posts that break the rules. A host can do this in the group they look after, and a moderator in any group.

Suggesting a new group

Don't see the group you want? Tap Suggest a group at the top of the card.

  1. Pick an emoji.
  2. Give it a name (up to 50 characters).
  3. Say what it's for (up to 300 characters).
  4. Tap Send to the helpers.

Suggested groups are reviewed before they appear, and approved ones show up under πŸ’¬ Interests. You can suggest up to three groups a day.
