Caregiver Connection

The Caregiver Connection page is where babies and caregivers link their accounts together. Once linked, caregivers can send requests, notes, diaper checks, and punishments directly to their baby.

Navigate there from the sidebar: My Dynamic → 🤝 Caregiver

Linking Accounts​

Step 1 — Baby generates a pairing code​

  1. The baby opens the Caregiver page
  2. Under "My Pairing Code", tap Generate Code
  3. A 6-character code appears (e.g., A3KF72)
  4. Share this code with your caregiver

Codes are single-use and expire after a short time. Generate a new one if it expires.

Step 2 — Caregiver enters the code​

  1. The caregiver opens their Caregiver page
  2. Under "Link to a Baby", enter the 6-character code
  3. Tap Link

You're now connected. The caregiver can see the baby's tracker, chores, rules, and send requests.

Same device?

If both partners use the same device, one person can generate the code, the other can switch accounts and enter it. The link is stored on the device and syncs to the server.

Sending Requests (little → caregiver)​

The baby can send quick requests to the caregiver:

Requests appear as a notification on the caregiver's device.

Sending Notes (caregiver → little)​

The caregiver can write a note to their baby from the Caregiver page:

  1. Type a message in the Send a Note box
  2. Tap Send

The note appears on the baby's Dashboard in a highlighted card and also as a notification.

Diaper Checks​

The caregiver can send a Diaper Check request:

  1. On the caregiver's Caregiver page, tap Request Diaper Check
  2. The baby sees a pop-up asking them to report their diaper status (wet, messy, dry)
  3. The baby's response is sent back to the caregiver

Sending Punishments​

Caregivers can assign a punishment to their baby:

  1. Go to Caregiver → Send Punishment
  2. Choose a punishment from the list (defined in the Rules Builder)
  3. Add an optional note
  4. Tap Send

The baby sees the punishment as a full-screen overlay the next time they open the app.

Sending a Report Card​

Caregivers can fill out a Report Card to give their baby scores and feedback:

  1. Go to Caregiver → Report Card
  2. Rate different categories (behavior, hygiene, rules, etc.)
  3. Add written feedback
  4. Tap Send

The baby sees the report card banner on their Dashboard.

Unlinking​

To remove the caregiver/baby connection:

  1. Open the Caregiver page
  2. Scroll to the linked partner section
  3. Tap Unlink

Both partners are unlinked immediately. Either partner can initiate an unlink.
