πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘ Helpers Guild

The nursery is run by one person. The Helpers Guild is how members can volunteer to make it kinder, safer and busier. Helpers get Pro on us while they help.

Open it from the menu under 🧸 My Corner β†’ πŸ§‘β€πŸ€β€πŸ§‘ Helpers Guild (Big Helpers in baby mode). The page is caregiverbabyhub.com/helpers.

For littles

Want to be a big helper? You can welcome new friends, look after a group, or help keep everyone safe. Pick a job, tell us why you'd like to help, and promise to follow the helper rules. πŸ’›

The roles

You can apply for one of three roles. Tap a role card under What helpers do to pick it.

RoleWhat it's forScope
πŸ›‘οΈ ModeratorKeeping groups safe by removing posts that break the rulesThe whole site
🏑 Group hostWelcoming people to one group, starting conversations, planning online events, keeping it kindOne group
πŸ‘‹ WelcomerSaying hello to new members and pointing them to what they're looking forThe whole site

What each role can actually do

  • πŸ›‘οΈ Moderator: can open any group and read its posts without joining, and can Remove any post or reply in any group. Removing a reported post also closes its open reports.
  • 🏑 Group host: has the same powers, but only in the one group they host. When you're approved, you're added to that group as its host automatically.
  • πŸ‘‹ Welcomer: a friendly-face role. It doesn't come with extra tools. Welcomers use the same groups and spaces as everyone else, and count as helpers for the perk below.

Helpers don't review the report queue. Reports from groups go to the admins.

Whole site or one group

Every role has a scope. Moderators and welcomers are approved for the whole site. A group host is approved for one group, and the admin picks which group when approving. On your Helpers Guild page, a role that only covers one group shows (one group) after its name.

The helper guidelines

Before you apply, read the πŸ“œ Helper guidelines on the page:

  1. Everyone here is an adult, and everyone deserves kindness and privacy.
  2. Never share, ask for or hint at anyone's real name, address, workplace or photos.
  3. Moderate the post, not the person. Explain briefly, never shame.
  4. Anything about safety, minors or harm goes straight to the admins. Don't handle it alone.
  5. Helper tools are for helping. Never use what you can see for anything else.
  6. You can step back any time. Just tell us.

Applying

  1. Pick a role under What helpers do.
  2. In βœ‹ Apply to be a…, write why you'd like to help. A sentence or two is plenty, but it needs at least 20 characters.
  3. Add anything relevant you've done before (optional).
  4. Check "I've read the guidelines above and I'll follow them."
  5. Tap Send application.

There's no course or test to pass. Accepting the guidelines is the commitment.

You can have one pending application per role at a time. Your applications and their status (pending, approved, declined) show under the form, along with any note from the reviewer.

Approval

An admin reviews each application.

  • Approved: you get a bell, "πŸŽ‰ Welcome to the Helpers Guild!", and your page shows πŸ’š You're a helper with your roles.
  • Declined: you get a bell, "πŸ’› About your helper application", with a short note.

The Pro perk

When you're approved, you get Pro free for 90 days, starting from the day of approval.

  • If you don't have a gifted plan running, you get Pro for 90 days.
  • If you already have gifted Pro that ends sooner, it's extended to 90 days from approval.
  • If you already have a different gift running, it's left as it is.

Your own paid subscription is never touched.

If you step back or your helper role is removed, only the comped Pro that the Guild gave you is taken back. This happens once you have no helper roles left. Any plan you pay for yourself, or a gift from someone else, stays.

On Discord

If you've linked Discord, helpers get the CBH Β· Helper role in the server automatically. See Discord.

Stepping back

You can step back any time. Just tell us, for example through the πŸ†˜ Support button.

  • Groups: where moderators and group hosts help out.
  • Discord: your helper role on the server.
