🧾 Grown-Up Help

Grown-Up Help keeps the real-life jobs in one place: medication, bills, appointments, grown-up tasks, and work-day check-ins. It reminds you in your own timezone and gives you stars for getting things done. If you have a caregiver, you decide what they can see.

Find it in the menu under πŸ“± My Dynamic β†’ 🧾 Grown-Up Help. In little and baby mode it's called Big-Person Jobs. The page is caregiverbabyhub.com/grown-up.

For littles

Big-person jobs are hard, so here you get stickers for doing them! Take your medicine, pay a bill, or make that scary phone call, then tap βœ… and collect your stars ⭐

What you can add

KindWhat it's forWhen it's due
πŸ’Š MedicationPills, vitamins, anything you takeOne or more times a day, on the days you pick
πŸ’Έ BillRent, phone, subscriptionsA date, with an optional amount
πŸ“… AppointmentDoctor, dentist, a meetingA date and an optional time
πŸ“‹ Task"Reply to the landlord" and other grown-up jobsAn optional date
πŸ’Ό Work check-inA quick "how's it going?" during the workdaySet times, on the days you pick

Bills, appointments and tasks can happen Once, Every week, Every month, or Every day. A monthly bill due on the 31st lands on the last day of shorter months. You can keep up to 100 items.

β˜€οΈ Today

The Today card lists everything due today, in time order. For each one:

  • Tap βœ… Taken (for medication) or βœ… Done to tick it off and collect its stars.
  • Tap Skip if it isn't happening today. Skipping gives no stars.
  • Something that came due and wasn't ticked off shows ⏰ not ticked off yet. You can still tick it off late.

Ticking off a work check-in asks "How's it going?" You can add a short note or leave it blank. A one-off task or bill that's done leaves your list. Tapping twice, or on two devices, never gives stars twice.

🎯 Focus session

Got a job you keep putting off? The 🎯 Focus session card (🎯 Scary job time in little mode) helps you start it.

  1. Pick a task or bill.
  2. Choose 5, 10, 15, 25, or 45 minutes and tap Start.
  3. Work on just that one thing until the timer ends.
  4. Tap βœ… I did it! or I tried (still counts).

Either way you get stars for the minutes you spent: 2 to 10, about one star for every five minutes. I did it! also ticks the job off for today. The card only shows when you have at least one task or bill.

πŸ“† Next two weeks

This card lists the bills, appointments and tasks coming up in the next 14 days. If any bills have amounts, it also shows πŸ’Έ Bills this month with a link to the full monthly budget in the Diaper Bag.

Adding something

Under βž• Add something:

  1. Pick the kind.
  2. Give it a name and, if you like, a note.
  3. For medication and check-ins, type the times (for example 08:00, 20:00) and tap the days. No days picked means every day.
  4. For everything else, pick the date and how often it repeats. Appointments take a time, and bills take an amount.
  5. Choose how many ⭐ Stars it's worth (0, 1, 2, 3, 5, or 10).
  6. Set the sharing switches (below) and tap Add.

Medication shows a reminder: these are reminders only, not medical advice. Always follow your prescriber.

🧸 Pretend medicine

Tick 🧸 Pretend medicine (for play) when you add a medication that's just for play, like a spoonful of "bubblegum medicine." It shows 🧸 everywhere, its reminder says 🧸 Pretend medicine time, and you can flip it later with the 🧸 pretend box in πŸ“‹ Everything.

Must-confirm

Medications have a Tell my caregiver if I miss it box, and bills have Tell my caregiver if I miss it (if shared). When it's ticked, your caregiver hears about a missed dose. For a bill, they hear about it only if the bill is shared too.

If your dynamic's strictness is 4 or higher, this box starts ticked for new medications. You can still untick it.

Sharing: you decide

Your Grown-Up Help list belongs to you. Bills, appointments, tasks and work check-ins are only shared with your caregiver if you share them. Medications are different: a linked caregiver always sees every medication and every tick, so they can help you stay on track.

  • When adding, tick Share with my caregiver.
  • In πŸ“‹ Everything, tick or untick πŸ‘€ shared on any item, or tap Share all with my caregiver / Stop sharing all.
  • Only you can change sharing. Your caregiver can't.

The sharing switches only appear when you have a linked caregiver. On your own, the whole list is just yours.

For caregivers

A linked caregiver sees Grown-Up Help for their little's name, with every medication and the other items the little has shared. Anything else that isn't shared is hidden completely.

  • You can tick what you see βœ… Done or Skip.
  • When your little ticks off a medication, you get a soft bell (no push) once per dose.
  • You can add something for your little. It arrives shared, your little gets a bell, and they can still unshare it.
  • You can remove items you added, but not ones your little added.
  • The box on medications and bills reads Tell me if it's not ticked off.

Reminders

Reminders come as a bell in the app and a push notification, in your own timezone.

KindWhen you're remindedWhen your caregiver hears
πŸ’Š MedicationAt each dose time. About 90 minutes later, if it isn't ticked off: "Did you take it?"When the dose isn't ticked off by then, if it's must-confirm (shared or not)
πŸ’Έ Bill2 days before, and on the day (from 9 AM). The next day if it still isn't ticked offOn the day if it's shared. The day after if it's shared and must-confirm and still not ticked off
πŸ“… AppointmentThe evening before (from 6 PM), and in the 2 hours before if it has a timeThe evening before, if it's shared
πŸ“‹ TaskOn the day (from 9 AM)Never
πŸ’Ό Work check-inAt each check-in timeNever

During your quiet hours, the reminder still lands in your bell but your phone doesn't buzz. Your caregiver's own quiet hours work the same way for their alerts. Items you add after their time has passed don't send a reminder for that time.

🩺 Health & growth

At the bottom of the page, Health & growth keeps your real measurements, like weight, height and temperature, with a growth chart. See Health & growth.

Your Diaper Bag list moves here

If you kept bills and appointments in Grown-Up Things in the Diaper Bag, the first time you open Grown-Up Help your unfinished items are brought over, and a note tells you how many. It only happens once, so nothing is doubled. Afterward the Diaper Bag's Grown-Up Things page points you here.

On your phone's calendar

Appointments and dated bills also go out through your private Calendar Feed (in My Account β†’ Settings), so they show up in Google, Apple or Outlook calendar next to everything else. Daily medications don't, because they're reminders, not calendar events. To bring your real calendar in, see External calendars.

Questions

Can my caregiver see my medication list? Yes. A linked caregiver sees every medication and every tick. For bills, appointments, tasks and check-ins, only the items you've shared reach them.

I took my medicine but forgot to tick it. Tick it off when you remember. A late tick clears the "missed" mark.

Do I need a caregiver to use this? No. Anyone can use Grown-Up Help for their own life.
