π Your first week as a caregiver
A printable checklist to get you and your little set up. Most of it is a one-time job. Pace it over the week and do the setup together where you can.
For littles
This page is for your grown-up. Yours is Your first week as a little.
Day 1: Your accountβ
- Sign up at caregiverbabyhub.com/register with an email, a pen name and a password.
- Under My Role, choose Caregiver (or Switch if you take both roles).
- Confirm you are 18 or older, agree to the terms, and tap Create your space.
- Verify your email from the link we send, then sign in.
- In the welcome steps, set your display name and your timezone. Reminders, notifications and daily emails all follow it. You can change it later under Account, then βοΈ Settings, then π Locale & Units.
One account works in every CBH app, and signing in on the main site signs you in to the others.
Day 1: Link with your littleβ
Linking is free.
- Your little opens caregiverbabyhub.com/caregiver, taps Link a caregiver, then π Generate Pairing Code.
- You open caregiverbabyhub.com/caregiver, tap Link the little you care for, type their 8-character code and tap Link with Caregiver π.
Codes link instantly and work once. If a code doesn't work, ask them to tap βΊ New for a fresh one.
Other ways in:
- Invite link. From Connect, Bring your little to you gives you a link. If your little signs up with it, you're linked automatically.
- Co-caregivers. A little can link more than one caregiver. Set what each can do in π¨βπ©β π§ Co-parents (edit rules, issue punishments, manage rewards and points, request diaper checks).
- Babysitter. π§Έ Babysitter Mode (caregiverbabyhub.com/babysitter) gives someone a time-limited invite with only the permissions you choose.
Day 1 or 2: Notificationsβ
- Install the main site on your phone. See Install guides.
- Turn on push: Account, then βοΈ Settings, then π Notifications, then Enable Push. On iPhone, open the app from the Home Screen icon first (iOS 16.4 or newer).
- Choose which alerts you get (requests, diaper checks, notes and more), and set quiet hours.
Days 2 to 5: Build the dynamic togetherβ
Open the Dynamic Builder (caregiverbabyhub.com/dynamic/build). Until it's done, most of My Dynamic stays greyed out. It's 17 steps in five parts; you can stop and Continue from Step N any time. The ones that matter most in week one:
- Rules. Start with a few clear rules.
- Rewards and Punishments. What can be earned, and consequences you both agree to.
- Schedule Builder. Wake and bed times for free days and work days. The apps' scenes and reminders follow these.
- Routines and Chores. The daily structure your little sees and ticks off.
- Limits & Safewords (required). Their safeword or traffic-light system, hard limits, and your emergency plan.
- Contract & Agreement, then Review & Activate.
After that:
- Set Permissions in Dynamic Settings (caregiverbabyhub.com/dynamic-settings): what your little may change on their own.
- Try the Tracker and the Companion for logging on the go.
- Explore the AI Caregiver if you'd like help between your own check-ins (free members get a daily message allowance).
Safetyβ
- Make sure your little has a safeword saved (Safety Hub, π΄ My Safeword).
- Know what happens when they use it: you get Safeword Used right away. Stop, and check in on them as a person.
- Respect hard limits from the Limits & Safewords step. The builder warns you if a limit clashes with a kink that's switched on.
- Read the Aftercare guide and Consent Checklist on the Safety Hub (caregiverbabyhub.com/safety). Crisis resources are there too.
- Decide what your little can reach in the community under Dynamic Settings, then π« Community Access & Parental Controls.
Where to find helpβ
- π button (bottom right): Help & Support. Send a support request or feedback; replies show under π¬ My requests.
- β Help with this page on many pages.
- Guides & Checklists (caregiverbabyhub.com/guides), including the complete caregiver guide.
- These help pages: docs.caregiverbabyhub.com, with search.
- The π globe button: every other CBH app, including the Break Room, a space just for caregivers.
