⏱️ Automatic Check-Ins

Automatic Check-Ins send diaper checks, kink check-ins, and reminders on a schedule, so nobody has to remember. A caregiver sets them up for their linked little. A little without a caregiver can set them up for themselves.

The page lives at caregiverbabyhub.com/auto-checkins. To get there, open Dynamic Settings, choose What's allowed, and what's locked, and tap Automatic Check-Ins. You can also search for "check-in" in Dynamic Settings. If you're a caregiver, the page says For and your little's name at the top.

For littles

Sometimes the app will ask you for a diaper check all by itself. Just answer it like you would if your caregiver asked.

What you can schedule​

Checks are sent within about 30 minutes of their scheduled time.

Add a check-in​

  1. Tap Add Check-In.
  2. Choose the Type: Diaper Check, Kink Check-In, or Reminder.
  3. For a Kink Check-In, pick the Kink.
  4. Optionally write a Label / Message.
  5. Choose a Schedule (see below).
  6. Optionally limit it to certain days and hours.
  7. Tap Save. You'll see "Check-in saved! 🌸" New check-ins start switched on.

Your check-ins are listed with a short summary of when each one goes off.

Schedule options​

Every few hours. Set Every (hours), for example every 3 hours. A new interval check waits one full interval before it goes off the first time, so it won't fire the moment you save it.

Set times. Add one or more Times of day, like 09:00 and 18:00. Each one goes off once a day in the little's time zone. You can also set a Surprise window (±minutes): each check goes off at a random time within that many minutes of the set time, so you never know exactly when it's coming. For example, 15:00 with ±30 means somewhere between 2:30 and 3:30 PM.

Which days? Leave every day unselected to run every day, or tap days to limit it to those days.

Only between (optional). Set a window, like 08:00 to 21:00, and the check only goes off inside it. Overnight windows such as 21:00 to 08:00 work too. Leave it blank to allow any time.

Quiet hours and the daily limit​

Scheduled check-ins respect the notification settings of the person they're sent to (see Notifications and email):

  • Quiet hours. A check that comes due during their quiet hours waits until quiet hours end. Both the bell and the phone notification are held, then arrive together when the quiet window is over.
  • Daily reminder limit. Each scheduled check counts toward their daily reminder limit, the same as other reminders.

Pause or remove​

  • Tap the ON / OFF button on a check-in to pause it without deleting it.
  • Tap the trash can to remove it.
  • Diaper check answers show up on the caregiver's side right away. See Caregiver Connection.
  • For a reminder when the same diaper has been on too long, use Wear Reminders in Dynamic Settings under What gets sent to you, and when.
