Broadcasting (for littles)

If you are the little, the Your Monitor page is where you turn your camera on so your caregiver can check in.

For littles

Tap the big 📷 Start Monitor button. If you want your caregiver to hear you too, tap the green mic button. You can stop any time.

Start the monitor​

  1. Open monitor.caregiverbabyhub.com and sign in.
  2. Tap 📷 Start Monitor. Your browser asks for the camera and microphone. Choose Allow.
  3. A LIVE badge and an encryption badge appear on your preview. Your stream is encrypted in transit to our video server. It isn't end-to-end encrypted.
  4. Your screen stays awake while the monitor runs. You will see 🔆 Screen staying awake while the monitor runs.
  5. Tap ⏹ Stop Monitor to turn the camera off.

If your connection drops for a moment, the page says Connection wobbled and reconnects by itself.

Let your caregiver hear you​

Your caregiver can only hear you when the microphone is live. If you see 🔊 Let my caregiver hear me (turn on mic), tap it. When it works you will see 🎙️ Your caregiver can hear you with a small level meter that moves when you make a sound.

If the camera is blocked​

If your browser blocked the camera, Monitor shows Camera & mic access is blocked with steps:

  1. Tap the lock (or camera) icon in your browser's address bar.
  2. Set Camera and Microphone to Allow.
  3. On iPhone or iPad, also check Settings, then your browser, then Camera and Microphone.
  4. Reload the page and tap 🔁 I've allowed access — try again.

See who is watching​

While you are live, a line under the buttons tells you plainly who can see you:

  • 👀 Nobody is watching right now when no one is connected.
  • 👀 Watching now: followed by names when someone is.

A small note also pops up when someone starts or stops watching.

Motion and sound alerts​

The Motion & sound alerts switch tells your caregiver when there is loud noise or movement. It is off until you turn it on, and it only works while the monitor is live. See Night Nanny and alerts.

Choose who can watch​

Who Can Watch​

The Who Can Watch card lists your linked caregiver, marked Linked Caregiver — permanent access. A caregiver linked to you on the main site can watch whenever your camera is on, with no code.

Under Pairing key (called 🔒 Encryption in older versions), tap Copy direct access link and send it to your linked caregiver once. The link carries the pairing key their device needs to see the picture.

Invite codes​

Use an invite code for anyone who is not linked to you.

  1. In Invite Codes, tap + New Invite. The Create Invite Code window opens.
  2. Add a Label if you like (for example, "For tonight").
  3. Pick when it Expires: Tonight (until 8am), This week (7 days), This month (30 days), Ongoing (no expiry), or Custom date...
  4. Tap Create, then Copy Invite Link and send it. You can also show the QR code for them to scan with their phone camera.

Every code is listed with its expiry, a Copy Link button and a QR button. Tap Revoke at any time to cut off that person's access right away.

Messages from your caregiver​

While you are live, things your caregiver sends show up on your screen:

  • Their voice when they tap Talk, and anything they type for your device to read aloud.
  • Soothing sounds such as a lullaby, white noise, a heartbeat or rain.
  • A 💤 lullaby they recorded for you.
  • A card saying 🌀 Your caregiver started a sleep program for you, with a button that opens it in Vibe.
  • A live 🛏️ Bedtime checklist during a Tuck-In.
