🎫 Permission Slips

Permission Slips are how a little asks for something and gets a yes or a no. A little opens the page to ask. A caregiver opens it to answer.

Open it from the menu under πŸ“± My Dynamic β†’ 🎫 Permission Slips. In little and baby mode the menu calls it May I…? The page lives at caregiverbabyhub.com/permissions.

For littles

Pick what you want to ask for, like a snack or screen time, and send it. Then wait for your answer. It shows up here as soon as it's ready.

Ask for something

  1. Open May I…?
  2. Pick what you're asking for:
    • πŸͺ Snack
    • 🚽 Bathroom
    • πŸ“Ί Screen time
    • πŸŒ™ Stay up late
    • 🧰 Big-kid task
    • 🍭 Treat
    • 🚢 Going out
    • ✨ Something else (write your own question)
  3. Add a note if you want to say a little more. You don't have to.
  4. Send it. Your ask shows ⏳ waiting… until it's answered.

When an answer arrives you get a notification, and the answer shows on the page: "Permission granted βœ…" or "Gently denied ❌". If you've been waiting a long time, you can send a gentle nudge.

Answer an ask (caregivers)

New asks appear at the top of the page the moment they're sent, and you get a notification. For each one, tap:

  • βœ… Yes
  • ⏲️ Yes, but… and type the condition, for example "yes, but only 10 minutes"
  • No

You can add a note to your answer. When everything is answered, the page says "All answered!"

Approving a πŸ“Ί Screen time ask also gives your little 30 extra minutes of CBH TV once.

House rules: answers that happen on their own

House rules answer some asks automatically, so you decide once instead of every time. Open All features β†’ House rules (a linked little sees The house rules I live by). For each kind of ask, choose:

SettingWhat happens
πŸ’š Always yesApproved every time
πŸ”’ Yes, up to a daily limitApproved until the daily limit, then it asks you
πŸ™‹ Always askEvery ask comes to you
🚫 Not right nowGently declined

Asks answered by a house rule are still logged, and the caregiver gets a soft heads-up. Caregivers set house rules for their linked little.

If you don't have a caregiver

A little on their own gets the same tools. You write your own house rules, and your AI caregiver answers your asks using them. Bathroom starts as always yes; everything else starts as always ask. The switch She answers my asks turns this on for every kind at once. You can also turn it on from Looking after yourself.

Look back

  • Every ask and answer: the full ledger of answered asks, each with a little printable slip.
  • How the asking goes: how often it's yes, how long answers take, and what gets asked for most. You can hide the numbers if you'd rather not see them.

The rest of your day

  • Talk to my caregiver (caregivers see Talk it through): opens the Direct Line.
  • Do this for me automatically: opens Automations, for things like a nudge after a long wait or a celebration after a run of polite asks.
