Notifications & Email
CaregiverBabyHub supports two types of notifications: push notifications (in-app alerts to your device) and daily emails (morning and evening emails to your inbox).
Push Notifications
Push notifications let your caregiver reach you even when the app isn't open — for diaper checks, punishments, notes, and other events.
Enabling Push Notifications
Option 1 — During Onboarding You're prompted to enable push notifications the first time you log in. Tap Enable Notifications to allow them.
Option 2 — From Account Settings
- Go to My Account
- Scroll to the Push Notifications section
- Tap Enable Push Notifications
- Your browser will ask for permission — tap Allow
iOS Requirements
On iPhone and iPad, push notifications require:
- iOS 16.4 or later
- The app must be installed to your home screen as a PWA (see Install on iOS)
- Safari must be used to add the app to the home screen
Push notifications do not work from the browser on iOS — only from the installed home screen app.
Android & Desktop
Push notifications work in most modern browsers on Android and desktop without any special installation required. Simply allow the permission when prompted.
What triggers a push notification?

Daily Emails
If your account has an email address and your timezone is set correctly in Account Settings → Profile, you may receive:
🌅 Morning Baby Email (8 AM local time)
A friendly morning message for littles — may include:
- A good morning greeting
- Today's chore summary
- A motivational tip
🌙 Evening Caregiver Email (7 PM local time)
A summary email for caregivers — may include:
- Baby's chore completion for the day
- Recent tracker activity
- Any notes or reminders
Managing Email Preferences
- Go to My Account
- Scroll to Email Preferences
- Toggle the morning or evening email on or off independently
Each email is sent once per day at the set time. If you change your timezone, future emails will reflect the new time.
Notification Bell (In-App)
The 🔔 bell icon in the top navbar shows in-app notifications — things like new notes from your caregiver, punishment notices, or report cards. The number badge shows how many you haven't read yet. Tap the bell to view and dismiss them.
