Punish Baby

The Punish Baby page is where caregivers issue punishments to their linked baby. It gives the caregiver access to the baby's full punishment list, severity options, a reason field, and a history of past punishments.

Navigate there from the sidebar: Caregiver Tools โ†’ โš ๏ธ Punish Baby

note

This page is for caregivers only. You must have a linked baby to issue a punishment. Set up punishments first in the Rules Builder or Dynamic Settings.

Issuing a Punishmentโ€‹

  1. Go to the Issue tab
  2. Select a punishment from the list (drawn from the baby's dynamic punishments and custom punishments)
  3. Choose a severity level:
    • Light
    • Mild
    • Moderate
    • Serious
    • Extreme
  4. Optionally type a reason explaining why the punishment is being given
  5. Tap Issue Punishment

The punishment is immediately queued for the baby. The next time they open the app, a full-screen Punishment Overlay appears with the punishment details and completion instructions.

Severityโ€‹

The severity you choose affects how the punishment is presented to the baby and what completion method may be required. Each punishment can have different text and requirements per severity level โ€” defined in Dynamic Settings โ†’ Punishments or the Rules Builder.

Punishment Historyโ€‹

The History tab shows all past punishments issued to the linked baby, in reverse chronological order. Each entry shows:

  • The punishment name
  • Severity level
  • Reason (if provided)
  • When it was issued

A bar chart at the bottom visualizes punishment frequency over time.

Pending Punishmentsโ€‹

Punishments that have been issued but not yet seen or completed by the baby appear as pending. You can see how many are pending at the top of the Issue tab.

Baby's Experienceโ€‹

When the baby opens the app with a pending punishment, a full-screen overlay appears that cannot be dismissed until the baby completes the punishment. The overlay shows:

  • The punishment name and emoji
  • A description of what to do
  • The severity level
  • The reason from the caregiver (if provided)
  • A completion method (timer, written confirmation, photo description, or simple confirm)

Once the baby completes the punishment, it moves from pending to the history log.
