🎛️ Dynamic Modes

A Dynamic Mode is a one-tap preset for your whole dynamic. Instead of changing five settings by hand every Friday, you switch on a mode. It changes the right settings all at once. When you turn it off, everything goes back exactly the way it was.

Built-in modes

Mode	What it changes
🧭 Strict Week	Enforcement 24/7, auto-punish missed chores and missed routines, rewards need approval, strict reminders
🧸 Cozy Weekend	Enforcement on weekends, no auto-punishing, rewards don't need approval, gentle reminders
🏖️ Vacation	Turns on Vacation Mode: your normal rules relax and any vacation rules take over

Each mode card says in plain words what switching to it will change, so there are no surprises.

Switch a mode on or off

1. Open Dynamic Settings and go to 🎛️ Dynamic Modes.
2. Tap Switch on the mode you want, then confirm Switch mode.
3. To stop, tap Turn off mode. Your previous settings come back.

Only one mode is on at a time. The active one shows ✓ Active.

What happens behind the scenes

When you switch a mode on, the site saves the current value of every setting the mode touches, then applies the mode. Turning it off puts the saved values back, including permissions that weren't set before. Trying a mode never loses anything.

Make your own mode

1. Tap ＋ Custom mode.
2. Give it a name and an emoji (for example, "School Nights").
3. Choose what it changes. Anything left on No change stays as it is:
   • Enforcement
   • Reminder intensity: Gentle, Normal, or Strict
   • Auto-punish missed chores and Auto-punish missed routines
   • Rewards need approval
   • 🔐 Permissions: for each one, No change, Allow, or Deny
4. Tap Save Mode.

To put Strict Week or Cozy Weekend on a schedule, tap ＋ schedule under it. That makes a custom copy you can schedule and edit. Vacation can't be copied.

Schedule a mode

A custom mode can switch itself on every week.

1. In the mode's form, open ⏰ Schedule this mode.
2. Pick the days and a from time. Add an until time if you like. Left empty, the mode stays on until midnight.
3. Save.

The schedule switches the mode on and off while the app is in use. A mode you turned on by hand is never switched off by the schedule.

Who can switch modes

While a little is linked to a caregiver, the caregiver controls modes. The little can see which mode is on, and sees "Your caregiver controls modes" instead of the switches. Littles with no caregiver manage their own modes.
