Dynamic Modes
Dynamic Modes are one-tap presets for your whole dynamic. Instead of flipping five settings by hand every Friday evening, you switch on a mode — it overrides the right settings all at once, and when you turn it off, everything goes back exactly how it was.
Find them in Dynamic Settings, in the Dynamic Modes panel.
Built-in Modes

Each mode card shows a plain-language summary of exactly what switching to it will change (e.g. "Enforcement → 24/7 · Auto-punish ON · Rewards need approval"), so there are never surprises.
What switching actually does
When you activate a mode, the app snapshots the current value of every setting the mode touches, then applies the overrides. When you turn the mode off, the snapshot is restored — including permissions that were previously unset, which go back to being unset. Nothing is ever lost by trying a mode.
Only one mode is active at a time, and the active mode is shown as a chip so you always know which "weather" your dynamic is in.
Custom Modes
You can create your own modes (or clone a built-in as a starting point). A custom mode can override:
- Enforcement type
- Auto-punish for missed chores / routines
- Reward approval requirement
- Reminder intensity
- Baby permissions — via a tri-state picker per permission: No change / Allow / Deny
Permissions a mode doesn't touch are left exactly as they were.
⏰ Scheduled Modes
Modes can apply themselves automatically on a weekly schedule — pick the days (day chips) and a start time, with an optional end time. Think "Strict Week auto-starts Monday 7:00" or "Cozy Weekend every Saturday morning."
- Built-in modes can be cloned into scheduled copies.
- A mode you switched on manually is never auto-reverted by the scheduler — the schedule only manages modes it started itself.
Who controls modes
When a little is linked to a caregiver, the caregiver owns mode switching (same as the permissions system) — the little can see the active mode but the switches live with their caregiver. Unlinked littles manage their own modes freely.
Modes pair beautifully with the rest of the app: Vacation mode also pauses chore due-dates and bedtime lockout, and the Dynamic Bar reflects whatever mode your day is running under.
