πΊοΈ Levels and the map
The Academy has six levels. Everyone starts at Level 1 and goes younger one level at a time. Each level is a land on the Map, and each lesson is a stepping stone.
Follow the stones on your map. Teddy sits on your next lesson, and the gold stones are the ones you've finished.
The six levelsβ
| Level | Title | Land on the map | In a sentence |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Grown-Up | Grown-Up Town | Where everyone starts: an adult, with adult habits. |
| 2 | Big Kid | Big Kid Schoolyard | Rules, bedtimes and padding arrive. |
| 3 | Preschooler | Preschool Playground | Small, dressed and decided for. |
| 4 | Toddler | Toddler Toybox | Full-time diapers, toddler words, no big decisions. |
| 5 | Baby | Baby's Nursery | Fed, changed and carried on someone else's clock. |
| 6 | Newborn | The Cloud Cradle | Complete dependence. |
Each level asks a little more than the one before, and the habits from earlier levels stay in place. Level 1 is gentle: small habits at home, and nothing required outside your front door.
Your finish lineβ
During enrollment you choose how little you'll go. Your choice sets the level you graduate at:
- Little ends after Level 3 (Preschooler).
- Toddler ends after Level 4.
- Baby ends after Level 5.
- Newborn ends after Level 6.
After you graduate you can choose to go younger. See Graduation.
The sixteen subjectsβ
Every level teaches the same sixteen subjects side by side: Mindset, Diapers, Feeding, Sleep, Speech, Movement, Clothing, Play, Care and Dependence, Nursery and Home, Out in the World, Relationships and Family, Work, Money and Adult Duties, Rules, Routine and Obedience, Body and Appearance, and Health and Safety.
Your report card shows a sticker for each subject in each level. See Graduation and keepsakes.
Reading the mapβ
- Open Map from the bottom bar (or the sidebar).
- Your current land is shown with its stepping stones in order.
- Teddy waits on your next lesson. Gold stones are finished lessons.
- Tap a stone to open that lesson.
- At the end of the land is the gate into the next level. See Gates and level exams.
Below the map you'll also find your Real-life work for today (see Lessons, missions and streaks) and the Pause button (see Pausing and leaving).
Which lessons are openβ
- Every lesson in your current level and the levels before it is open.
- Each level begins with a welcome lesson. The other lessons in that level open once you've done it.
- Each level ends with its graduation lesson, always the last stone in the land.
- Add-on lessons sit right after the core lesson they belong with. If you take an add-on after you've already passed a level, its lessons for earlier levels appear as catch-up work. A few add-ons (such as Domestic Baby) are their own ladder instead: their steps open one after another, whatever level you're at, and never hold up a gate.
- From Level 4, a monthly grown-up check-in is part of the course. If it's more than a week overdue, new lessons stay closed until you do it (lessons you've already started stay open). See Gates and level exams.
- A caregiver can pick up to five lessons as this week's plan. Those go to the front of your next-lesson order and are pinned on Today for a week.
