πŸŽ“ Graduation and keepsakes

You graduate when you finish the level you chose as your finish line. Graduation opens when every key of your last gate is turned: every lesson, the exam, the sign-off, and no caregiver hold.

For littles

Graduation is your biggest day! Miss Honeydew is so proud. You sign a special promise and get a certificate to keep.

Graduate

  1. Turn all three keys of the graduation gate, then choose Go to my graduation.
  2. Miss Honeydew holds your ceremony. The letter you wrote to your future self during enrollment is opened here, for you alone. It never goes to a caregiver, an admin or your Baby Book. You can read it again later from the graduation page.
  3. Read your forever contract. The lesson asks you to read it twice, a week apart, out of role. Choose Note my first reading and come back in a week, or go on and sign today.
  4. Sign it with a scribble and your typed baby name. You've graduated.
  5. Choose Now, my certificate to see and print your Certificate of Babyhood.

Graduation can also offer your finish line's habits to set up on the main site. See The Academy and the main site.

The forever contract

The forever contract describes how you'll live at your finish age and what your caregiver's care covers. Its own text keeps your safety net in place:

  • Your safeword, your limits and Pause keep working, instantly.
  • Either adult can end it out of role after seven days.
  • Danger or abuse ends everything at once.
  • It's a statement of intention, not a legally binding contract.

Caregivers: after the little signs, the contract waits on their file in your Headmaster's office. Read it the way the lesson asks (twice, a week apart, out of role, at a table) and choose Countersign only if you're glad to make these promises too. There's no deadline, and any of the little's headmasters can add a countersignature. A solo little signs in anticipation of a caregiver; if one joins later, they can countersign.

Every contract you sign stays on file, exactly as you signed it, on the certificate page under My forever contracts.

Going younger

After graduating you can carry on toward a younger finish line.

  1. On the Map, your graduate card has Want to go younger?
  2. Talk it over at your grown-up talk first, out of role.
  3. Choose Confirm: go younger. It starts at once, and your caregiver is told.

At your new finish line there's a new graduation and a new forever contract. Pause, your limits, your safeword and the seven-day way out stay exactly as they are.

Your keepsakes

  • Student ID card. Made at enrollment, on the Me page.
  • My Baby Book. Writes itself from the day you enroll: your birth announcement, each level reached, lessons finished in every level, ceremonies (watch any level-up ceremony again), certificates, and notes you add with a mood sticker. Open it from the Map.
  • Our Story. The story you and your grown-ups write together, with pages you add and an optional line after each weekly grown-up talk. Once a year you're invited to write that year's page together: what worked, what drifted, and why you're carrying on.
  • Report card. A report card for each level with a sticker for every subject (see Lessons, missions and streaks). Read it, add any comments, and sign it with your name; once signed it can't be changed.
  • Certificates. Your Certificate of Babyhood, your elective certificates, and (for caregivers) the Certified Caregiver certificate are all on the Me page.
