β˜• The Staffroom

The Staffroom is the Academy's classroom for caregivers. Miss Honeydew teaches you, adult to adult, how to deliver each level safely and kindly, and how to look after yourself while you do.

Who can use it

  • Any member, caregiver or not. You don't need to be linked to a little, and you don't need to enroll.
  • Every lesson is open from the start, in any order.
  • Nothing you do in the Staffroom changes a little's progress or gate.

Members who don't have a little yet are welcome. Each lesson has an "If you don't have a baby yet" note, and every real-life practice works two ways: with your baby, or a practice version on your own.

Taking a lesson

  1. Open The Staffroom from the sidebar (or from the Headmaster's office).
  2. Lessons are grouped by level, matching what your little is learning at that level: changing technique, feeding and the bottle, checks without nagging, tantrums and aftercare, night changes and your own sleep, burnout, emergencies and red flags, and much more.
  3. Each lesson has the same shape as a little's lesson: teaching, a story, an activity and a real-life practice. See Lessons, missions and streaks.
  4. Your progress at the top shows how far through you are and what real-life practice is still running.

The add-on shelf

The add-on shelf has caregiver lessons for each add-on, so you can learn the caregiver's side of, say, Cloth Baby or Medical Baby. If your little has add-ons, theirs are marked Your little one's. Add-on shelf lessons don't count toward the certificate.

Your certificate

When every core Staffroom lesson is done, you earn the Certified Caregiver certificate.

  1. The Staffroom shows "Every lesson is done. Your certificate is ready."
  2. Choose See my certificate, then Print my certificate.

You can also find it on the Me page under Certified Caregiver.
