βΈοΈ Pausing and leaving
Tired, poorly or just need a rest? Press Pause. It works straight away, for as long as you need, and nobody can say no.
Pauseβ
Pause is instant, unlimited, and nobody can refuse it, including a caregiver. You never need a reason.
- On the Map (or the Me page), find Need to stop for a while?
- Choose Pause the Academy.
While you're paused:
- Nothing is due and nothing is counted.
- Your streaks wait where they are. Paused days are never counted as misses.
- You can still read lessons, but nothing you do counts until you resume.
- The gate can't be used.
To come back, choose Resume on the Map or the Me page. You pick up exactly where you were. A graduate can pause too.
Leaving the Academyβ
You're allowed to leave. The oath makes leaving slow on purpose, so one bad week doesn't decide it for you. If you're tired, ill or overwhelmed, you probably want Pause instead.
- Under the Pause button on the Map (or on the Me page), open How leaving works, then choose Ask to leave.
- A seven-day wait begins. You're still a student, and your lessons stay open. If the feeling passes, choose I've changed my mind, and it's as if you never asked.
- When the wait is over, the Map shows Go to the exit interview. Miss Honeydew asks three questions: what made you decide to leave, what you learned about yourself, and which habits you're keeping.
- Choose Close my file. Your file is closed and marked as dropped out.
If you ever want to come back, you start again from the top with a fresh enrollment.
Removing a caregiver insteadβ
If what you want is to change who looks after you, you don't need to leave. On the Map, your caregiver card lets you remove one caregiver or everyone. See Caregivers as headmasters.
