Storybook Studio and Keepsake Print

Storybook Studio makes a keepsake storybook with five chapters, written from real moments in your month. Open it with Studio in the bottom bar.

For littles

Tell the Studio about your month, like the fun things you did. It turns them into a whole storybook about you!

Who can make storybooks

  • Everyone gets one free sample storybook. It stays on your shelf forever.
  • Nightlight members can make new storybooks every month (up to two a month).

After your free sample, the Studio shows a card about Nightlight instead of the form. The banner at the top of the Studio tells you which one applies to you.

Make a storybook

  1. Open Studio.
  2. Chapter one β€” who is this book about? Enter your little name. Your caregiver's name is optional, and you can name a stuffie. Tap Next β€” pick the world.
  3. Chapter two β€” where does it happen? Pick a world, such as Moonlit Garden, Cloud Kingdom, Enchanted Forest, Seaside Village, Snowy Village or Whispering Library. Tap Next β€” your real month.
  4. Chapter three β€” moments from your month. Write a few real moments, like "I finished my sticker chart" or "we baked cookies together". Add a dedication line if you like.
  5. Tap Weave my storybook. It takes a little moment to write all five chapters.
  6. Your new book appears under My Storybooks.

Read a storybook

  1. Tap a book under My Storybooks (in the Studio or the Library).
  2. The first spread is the cover with the title and dedication. Use the arrow buttons to turn pages.
  3. Tap Read aloud to have your device read the book. Tap Stop reading to stop.

Storybooks are read aloud by your device's own voice. Storytime no longer uses cloud narration voices.

Keepsake Print (Pro and Premium)

Keepsake Print turns a saved dream or storybook into a paper picture book, with one scene per page, a dedication page and a "The End" page.

  1. Open the Library.
  2. Tap the printer button next to a dream or storybook.
  3. Check the preview, then tap Print my picture book.
  4. In your browser's print window, print or save as a PDF.

Only the book pages are printed. Free members see a lock on the printer button and a See plans link instead.
