Reading Together

Storytime has two ways to share a dream with someone:

  • Adventure Together is live. You both read the same dream at the same time, on two screens.
  • Our Dreams is slower. You and your linked partner take turns choosing the next page, whenever each of you has time.

Open both from the doors on the Dreamweaver home page.

For littles

Open a reading room and tell your caregiver the secret code. Then you read the same story together, and the pages turn on both screens!

Adventure Together (live)​

Littles open the reading room. Caregivers and friends join it with a code.

Open a room (littles)​

  1. On Dreamweaver, tap Adventure Together.
  2. Under Who gets to choose the way tonight?, pick one:
    • I choose: the little picks every path.
    • Take turns: you take turns choosing, page by page.
    • We both vote: you both vote, and ties always go to the little.
  3. Tap Open our reading room. You get a five-letter code.
  4. Tell the code to your caregiver.
  5. Set up tonight's dream (name, stuffie, setting and so on).
  6. Tap Begin our dream together. If no one has joined yet, the button says Begin (they can join mid-dream).

Join a room (caregivers and friends)​

  1. On Dreamweaver, tap Adventure Together.
  2. Under Join with a code, type the five-letter code.
  3. Tap Join.

Pages turn on every screen at once. When the dream ends, it is saved to the little's shelf marked read together. Tap Goodnight to leave.

Our Dreams (take turns over time)​

Our Dreams lets you and the person you are linked with on CaregiverBabyHub write one bedtime story together by choosing alternate pages. You do not need to be online at the same time. If you are not linked to anyone yet, the page shows a link to set that up on the main site.

Start a co-written dream​

  1. On Dreamweaver, tap Our Dreams.
  2. Tap Start a dream together.
  3. If you have more than one linked person, pick who you are writing with.
  4. Fill in the story details.
  5. Tap Write the opening — then it's their turn.

Take your turn​

  1. Open Our Dreams. Dreams marked your turn are waiting for you.
  2. Tap the dream and read the newest page.
  3. Pick the next path. The next page is written, and then it is your partner's turn.

When it is your partner's turn, you can tap send a gentle nudge once a day to remind them.

Finished dreams appear on both of your shelves, marked as written together. Tap re-read to read one again. A dream that is stopped before the end is marked drifted.
