Install on Android
CaregiverBabyHub installs from your browser. There is no Play Store listing and nothing to download for the main site. Chrome is the browser we recommend. Samsung Internet, Edge and Brave work much the same way. Firefox can add a shortcut, but it doesn't install a full app.
Open the site in Chrome, tap the three dots, then Install. Open it from the new icon.
Pick your icon first (main site only)โ
| Icon | Open this page in Chrome | Name under the icon |
|---|---|---|
| ๐งธ Baby icon | caregiverbabyhub.com/install/baby | Caregiver Baby Hub |
| ๐ผ Discreet icon | caregiverbabyhub.com/install/discreet | Care Hub |
Installing from the normal home page gives you the baby icon.
Install itโ
- Open Chrome and go to the app's address (the install page above, or any app in the app list).
- Chrome may show an Install banner at the bottom. Tap Install.
- No banner? Tap the โฎ menu (top right), then Install app. On some versions it says Add to Home screen. If Chrome then asks, choose Install rather than Create shortcut.
- Tap Install again to confirm.
The icon appears on your home screen and in your app drawer. Open it from there. It runs full screen, without Chrome's address bar.
The main site's icon also has shortcuts. Press and hold it to jump straight to Dashboard, Dynamic Hub or Tracker. The Companion's icon has Log it, Drink, Change and Going out.
Turn on notificationsโ
On the main site:
- Open the app.
- Go to Account (caregiverbabyhub.com/account), then the โ๏ธ Settings tab, then the ๐ Notifications card.
- Under ๐ฑ Mobile & Push Notifications, tap Enable Push.
- Tap Allow when Android asks.
Notifications arrive even when the app is closed. On Android 13 and newer the phone asks for permission the first time; if you tapped Don't allow by mistake, open Settings, then Apps, find the app (or Chrome), tap Notifications and turn them on.
The Companion has its own notifications, with buttons on them, turned on inside the Companion under More, then Phone setup, then Notifications. See The Companion.
The Companion's Android appโ
Besides the web app, the Little Companion has a native Android app with home screen widgets, NFC tags from the lock screen and a watch tile. It is downloaded from the main site, not the Play Store. See The Android app.
Same account everywhereโ
Every CaregiverBabyHub app uses one account: the same email and password as the main site. If you are signed in to the main site in Chrome, the other apps usually pick that up. An installed app may ask you to sign in once the first time.
Troubleshootingโ
There's no Install option. Make sure you are in Chrome itself and not a chat app's built-in browser. Copy the address into Chrome. Some apps in the list can only be added as a shortcut; that's expected.
Notifications stopped. Battery savers can block them. In Settings, then Apps, find the app or Chrome, open Battery and choose Unrestricted. Then tap Enable Push (or Re-sync) on your CBH Settings tab again.
Updating. You never need to update by hand. The app fetches the newest version when you open it.
Removing itโ
Press and hold the icon and tap Uninstall (or drag it to Uninstall). Your account and data stay safe.
