Reading the Handbook

For littles

When you finish a page, tap Mark read. Read a whole tab and you get a gold star!

Open a side and a tab​

  1. Pick 🫶 Caregiver or 🧸 Little at the top.
  2. On the side page, tap Start at the beginning →, or open any tab card. Each card shows how many pages it has and how many you have read.
  3. In a tab, pages are grouped by topic. Tap one to read.

On a page​

  • Mark read (signed in) ticks the page off. It changes to ✓ Read and earns 5 XP toward your network level, up to five pages a day. The day is your own day, in your time zone. If the read can't be saved right then, the page says Couldn't save that read yet — it'll retry next time.
  • 🔖 Save to reading list (signed in) saves it to 🔖 Saved.
  • On this page lists the sections.
  • See also suggests related pages, and Switch to the other side → opens the same topic written for your partner.
  • Some terms, such as aftercare, littlespace or drop, have a dotted underline the first time they appear. Tap or hover to see what they mean.
  • Under the page, Put it in your binder links to the main site's Rules Builder, Schedule, Chores and caregiver tools, and to the Handbook's build tools. Next page takes you on through the tab.

When you read the last unread page of a tab, a small celebration says the tab is complete. Finishing a tab earns 25 XP, once every page of that tab is marked read.

Type in Search… at the top and press Enter. The Handbook searches titles, summaries and text on both sides and shows how many pages it found.

My Shelf​

📊 Shelf opens My Shelf (signed in). It shows:

  • one ring with how many pages you have read, how many tabs you have finished, and how many badges you have,
  • your reading streak and your best run,
  • progress bars for each side and for each tab,
  • your Keepsake badges.

Badges​

There are 14 badges, including 🌱 First Page, 📚 Bookworm (50 pages), 🎓 First Tab Done, 🫶 Caregiver, Certified and 🧸 Little, Certified (a whole side), ⭐ Devoted Reader (a 7-day streak) and 🏆 Cover to Cover (every page).

What follows you between devices​

  • Pages you have read and your saved pages are stored with your account, so they show on every device.
  • Your reading streak is kept on the device you read on. Reading on a different device starts a separate streak.

Saved pages​

🔖 Saved opens Saved Pages. To remove a page, open it and tap 🔖 Saved again.

On any tab page, tap 🖨️ Print / export this chapter to open the whole tab as one printable chapter, then 🖨️ Print / save as PDF. Free members see Print this chapter — Pro unlocks this, which links to the plans page.
