Color Wars and scavenger hunts

Two camp-wide events give you extra things to play for: Color Wars, a team tournament, and the weekly scavenger hunts.

For littles

In Color Wars you're on the Fox team or the Bunny team. Everything you do at camp helps your team win! Hunts send you to other apps to find fun things to do.

Color Wars​

Color Wars splits the whole camp into two teams: the 🦊 Crimson Critters and the 🐰 Bluebell Bunch. A war runs for two weeks, then there are two weeks of rest, over and over. It starts and stops on its own schedule, on US Eastern time.

Your team​

You don't pick a team. Whole bunk cabins fight together: your first bunk cabin decides your team. Campers without a cabin get sorted onto a team too. Your team stays the same from one war to the next.

Earn team points​

During a war, these all add points to your team automatically:

  • Today's Quest
  • Checking in to a daily cabin
  • Graduating from a program
  • Your first campfire story line of the night
  • A cheer from your counselor
  • A scavenger hunt
  • A marshmallow on S'mores Night

There's also a Team bonus challenge each day of a war. Do it, then tap Did it! to bank extra points.

Follow the score​

Tap Color Wars in the top bar to see the tug of war between the two teams, which team is ahead, how many days are left, and Your war chest, the points you've banked. Scores refresh every minute. The lobby also shows a score bar during a war.

When a war ends​

After two weeks, there's a victory ceremony at the campfire:

  • Everyone who banked a point gets a participation badge.
  • The winning team gets a champion badge and a Champ tag on bunk cabin rosters for the season.

Between wars the page shows when the next war begins. In the last few days before it, the lobby shows a countdown.

Scavenger hunts​

Every week there are three hunts. Each one asks you to do something in another CaregiverBabyHub app, like checking in at Daycare or reading something in the wiki. The hunts change every Monday (US Eastern time).

  1. Tap Hunts in the top bar to see this week's three hunts.
  2. Go do the deed in the app it names, any time that week.
  3. Come back to Hunts. Camp checks that you really did it and lights up the claim button.
  4. Tap Claim badge.

Each hunt you claim gives you a special badge, XP, and shared network points. During Color Wars it also banks team points.
