Bunk cabins

Bunk cabins are camp's friend groups. A bunk cabin is built around one program, so you and your bunkmates can run the same program side by side and chat along the way.

These are different from the daily cabins in your program, which are the days of your timetable.

For littles

Make a cabin and share its code with a friend, or tap Move in on an open bunk. Then say hi in the cabin chat!

Make a cabin​

  1. Tap Cabins in the top bar.
  2. Under the create form, type a Cabin name and Pick an emoji.
  3. Choose a program. You can pick any curated program or one you built.
  4. Tap Create cabin.

You become the cabin host. Your cabin gets a 6-character join code.

Join a cabin​

With a code:

  1. On the Cabins page, find Join by code.
  2. Type the code a bunkmate gave you.
  3. Tap Join cabin.

Without a code: the Open bunks board lists real cabins whose hosts welcome drop-ins. Tap Move in on one to join it.

Your cabins show as cards on the Cabins page. A "new chat" tag means there are messages since your last visit.

Inside a bunk cabin​

Tap a cabin card to open it. You'll see:

  • The cabin's program, with a link to it
  • The join code with a copy button. Only bunkmates can see it.
  • Bunkmates: everyone in the cabin with a little animal avatar. The host is marked Cabin host. Bunkmates can also show up to three pinned badges and a Champ tag if their team won the last Color Wars.
  • Cabin chat: post a message (up to 280 characters), a sticker, or both.

Welcome drop-ins (hosts)​

If you're the host, turn on Welcome drop-ins to list your cabin on the Open bunks board. Campers without a code can then move in. You can switch it off any time.

Leave a cabin​

Tap Leave cabin at the bottom of the cabin page. Your own program progress stays with you.

If you're the host and other bunkmates are still in the cabin, you can't leave yet.

The cabin leaderboard​

Tap Leaderboard on the Cabins page to see which cabin is the most spirited. Cabins climb by finishing cabin-days and earning badges.

  • The top band shows camp-wide totals: cabins, campers, cabin-days done, and badges earned, plus the Most spirited and Most badges cabins.
  • Below it, cabins are ranked. The top three get gold, silver, and bronze medals.
  • Tap any cabin to open it.

The Honeymoon Bunk (linked pairs)​

The Honeymoon Bunk is a special cabin for two people who are linked on CaregiverBabyHub, like a caregiver and their little. If you're linked, a card for it appears on the lobby.

  1. Open the Honeymoon Bunk from the lobby card.
  2. Under Claim the bunk together, tap Invite to bunk next to your person.
  3. They get a notification. They open the bunk and tap Move in together. (They can also say Not right now, and you can Cancel invite.)
  4. Once you've both moved in, a line of 8 together-only quests opens, like Trade Campfire Stories and Blanket Fort Night.
  5. For each quest, each of you marks your own half done. A quest only counts when both halves are in.

Each finished quest earns XP. Clearing the whole line gives you both the shared Bunkmates Forever badge and bonus XP.
