Editing & History
The Wiki is community-written โ anyone signed in can help improve it, and every change is tracked.
Creating a New Articleโ
Use the New article page to write one from scratch:
- Add a title (the slug, or web address, is generated automatically)
- Choose a category
- Write a one-line summary
- Write the body in Markdown โ use
##headings to build the table of contents - Add an optional edit summary describing what you wrote (it appears in the history)
A live preview shows your formatting as you go. Save to publish.
Editing an Existing Articleโ
Open an article and use Edit to make changes. The form is the same as creating one, except the slug is locked so the web address never breaks. Your edit comment captures the reason for the change, and saving creates a new revision stamped with the time and your comment.
Version Historyโ
Community-edited articles have a history page listing every revision with its timestamp and edit summary. Tap Compare to previous on any revision to see a line-by-line diff โ green for additions, red for removals. (Core articles show no history until someone makes the first community edit.)
Featured Articlesโ
Admins can spotlight any article as the Article of the Week on the home page with the โญ Feature this button โ a nice way to surface great community writing.
