🌐 Live translation

If you and your partner speak different languages, the main site can show their words in yours. A French little can read a German caregiver's rules in French, and the caregiver reads the little's notes in German. Nobody has to keep a translator open.

Languages

The site comes in six languages, and translation works between all of them:

Pick yours in My Account → Settings → Locale & Units. Translation always goes into the reader's language.

How it works

• The original is never changed. Text is translated when it's shown to you. Your partner's rule stays exactly as they typed it.
• Built-in text is exact. Suggested rules, chores, and other ready-made content use the site's own translations.
• Typed text is machine-translated, then saved, so it appears instantly the next time.
• If translation is unavailable for a moment, you see the original text instead. Nothing breaks.

See the original words

Translated text has a small 🌐 next to it. Tap it to switch between the translation and the original. Tap again to switch back. This helps when the exact wording matters.

Where it works

Translation covers what your partner types for your dynamic, such as rules, chores, routines, schedule blocks, planner items, tracker notes, and journal entries. The site's own buttons and menus are already in your language.

Turn it off

1. Go to My Account → Settings → Locale & Units.
2. Switch off 🌍 Auto-translate ("Automatically translate your partner's text into your language").

With it off, everything shows in the language it was written in.

Tip for mixed-language couples

Leave translation on and write naturally in your own language. Your partner reads you in theirs, and the 🌐 shows your exact words whenever they want them.
