Cook Together
The Cook tab is where you cook with other people. It has three parts: live cook-alongs, the Weekly Bake-Off, and Cook-Together Dates.
Pick a recipe and tap Cook together. Give the secret code to your caregiver or a friend, and you both see the same steps at the same time.
Live cook-alongsβ
In a live cook-along, everyone sees the same recipe in Cook Mode. The host turns the steps, and everyone else's screen follows.
Host a cook-alongβ
- Find a recipe on Home, in Cook, or in your Cookbook.
- Tap Cook together (or Together).
- Cook Mode opens with a five-letter code. Share the code with your cooking buddy. If you are a little with a linked caregiver, they also get a notice with the code.
- Tap through the steps. Everyone's screen follows you.
Free members can host 1 live cook-along a day. Pro and Premium members can host as many as they like. Solo cooking is always unlimited, and anyone can join a cook-along.
Join a cook-alongβ
- Open Cook.
- Under Cook Together, LIVE, type the five-letter code.
- Tap Join!
If no kitchen answers, double-check the code with your buddy.
During a cook-alongβ
- A strip at the top shows who is cooking with you.
- Send cheers that float up on everyone's screen.
- Timers started by the host show for everyone.
- The host can turn on free pace, which lets everyone turn their own pages.
- When you finish, the ta-da screen shows a table spread of everyone's dish photos.
Weekly Bake-Offβ
Each week has one Bake-Off theme. It shows at the top of the Cook page and as the last ticket on the Home page's Order Ticket Rail.
- Finish any recipe and snap a photo at the ta-da screen.
- On the Cook page, tap Enter with a made-it photo.
- Pick one of your Fridge Door photos.
Under This week's entries, you can cheer other chefs' entries, one cheer per entry. When the week ends, the entry with the most cheers wins the crown, and last week's winner is shown with a banner and gets bonus XP.
Cook-Together Dateβ
A Cook-Together Date is a kitchen date for you and the person you are linked with on CaregiverBabyHub. You both work through one shared checklist on your own screens. You need to be linked with someone to start one.
Start a dateβ
- On Home or Cook, tap Set the table or Start a date. You can also tap Date night: cook this with your person on any recipe card.
- Under Who's cooking with you?, pick your person.
- Under What are we making?, pick a recipe. Seasonal recipes are shown first.
- Tap Start our kitchen date. Your person gets a notice and joins the same checklist.
Cook the dateβ
- Tick each step as you go. Ticks show up on both screens.
- When every step is ticked, both of you tap We made it!
- Write a short note about the date if you like, and tap Save the note.
To stop early, tap Leave the kitchen (ends the date).
Our Kitchen Storyβ
Our Kitchen Story lists every date you have finished together, with the date, recipe and your note. Either of you can write or edit the note. Open it from Our Kitchen Story on the Home or Cook page.
